Genome and Junk DNA

Human genome and genomes of almost all other eukaryotes have the so called junk DNA. It may have regulatory  functions besides being material for the generation of new genes and sites for many new mutations. Possibility that portions of junk DNA may regulate gene expression by its structural and positional properties with out producing any RNA sequence should also be investigated.
